Rohan Bhargava, born and raised in New Delhi, India began his formal dance training at The Danceworx Academy of Performing Arts. He holds a B.F.A in Dance from Tisch School of the Arts, NYU and has worked with Sean Curran, Deborah Jowitt, Cameron McKinney, Laura Peterson, and Patrick Corbin. Currently, Rohan dances for Kizuna Dance and 10 Hairy Legs.
Since founding Rovaco Dance Company in 2015, Rohan has gained widespread acclaim including awards from Tamasha NYC and SAIPAF 2015, commissions from Mare Nostrum Elements, The Dance Gallery Festival, and The Moving Beauty Series, and the title of Artist-in-Residence 2016 from James Jay Duddley Luce Foundation. Rohan has taught nationally in New Jersey, New York, and Texas as well as internationally in multiple cities in India. His work has been presented at reputed venues such as Jamaica Performing Arts Center, Gaertner Center for Performing Arts in Texas, Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, Triskelion Arts, and DeBaun Performing Arts Center in New Jersey.
In Spring 2017, Rohan is working on a collaboration between Mannes School of Music and Rovaco Dance Company with support from The New School.
