Females comprise the largest percentage of the University's student population. Many of them pursue their academic goals as full-time students. The University women's centers provide support and assistance to female students in the areas of career choice, mentoring and networking, women's health issues, and childcare. The CUNY Women's Center Council works to raise awareness concerning gender issues, and offers programs and services aimed at advocacy, education, information and referrals to enhance the quality of the educational experience for students, faculty and staff on all campuses.
