Affiliated Committees are faculty committees that began with senate activities and grew, in time, to warrant significant attention moving forward. They are all supported by the University Faculty Senate (UFS). For example, the UFS Conference on Higher Education in the Prisons was held in February 2011. At the conference participants formed a committee to continue collaboration and advocacy. The committee is coordinated by Senator Emily Tai (QCC) and several senate members participate.
The University Faculty Senate (UFS) Committee for Higher Education in the Prisons, established in 2010, is a consortium of faculty and staff across the City University of New York, coordinated through the University Faculty Senate. Please visit the Higher Education in the Prisons Committee page for more information on their activities.
